Regional interuniversity Start-up Center «FIRST CAPITAL» was opened in Kharkiv

On 15th October, 2013 the Regional Inter-University Start-up Center «FIRST CAPITAL» was opened in Kharkiv. The Start-up Center is established within the frameworks of the European Union TEMPUS project “SUCSID” and with support of Kharkiv City Council and Department of Family and Youth of Kharkiv City Council.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy of Head of the City Council Igor Terehov and Alexander Popov, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Kharkiv City Council, members of SUCSID consortium partners, IBM Ukraine, MICROSOFT Ukraine, The World Bank in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Association “IT Ukraine”, business incubators and business clubs of Kharkiv, as well as start-up entrepreneurs, schoolchildren, high school and colleges academic staff, students and graduates.

During the ceremony, guests took part in a creative flash mob, which symbolized the main goal of the newly established Center – to form innovative entrepreneurial thinking of youth.

Moreover a number of events dedicated to the Start-up Center opening were held at Kharkiv National University of Economics:

Presentation of the Start-up Center’s Partners: success stories and bright personalities.
Round table “Entrepreneurs and business incubators of Kharkiv – European partners”.

Besides at a dissemination point which was organized in the University lobby, information materials about SUCSID project and the Start-up Center were disseminated to those who were interested to know more.

Events on October 15 were attended by over 250 people.
