Within the framework of the action plan for the Innovation Incubator KSU, a practical training was held: «StartUp: Beginning a career, starting a business”

On April 18, 2014  Innovation Center KSU conducted the practical training session «StartUp: Beginning a career, starting a business.”  The partners involved were the Innovation Incubator “InnovationCenter”, “YouthInitiativeCenter” KSU (YIC), the “Pro-Europa” Center, and the branch of CCI in Gagauzia. Participants listened with great interest during training presentations given by Svetlana Kuraskina – Center for Youth Initiative- who presented on how to have a successful interview with the employers, and from Kevin Coughlan- Innovation Center Consultant (Peace Corps Volunteer) – who revealed the secrets of writing a successful resume for employment.

Considering the needs of young people in gaining new knowledge and adaptating to change, director of the European Centre “Pro-Europa” Lyudmila Mitioglo, informed the participants about the new opportunities for young people in the field of social entrepreneurship, stimulating social and environmental innovation. Participants were informed about other opportunities within the organization of the project “Professional opportunities and social integration of the insecure / vulnerable youth from rural areas of the South of Moldova.”

To increase the competencies of young people starting a career in the field of business development, Matthew Rutter, a consultant in Gagauzia CCI (Peace Corps Volunteer) introduced the popular planning tool for aspiring entrepreneurs – Business Startup Methodology “Lean Startup”

During the discussions the participants and speakers shared their practical knowledge and experiences. According to the participants, during the meeting they discussed current issues for youth focused on acquiring knowledge for the development of life skills, career development and entrepreneurship. As part of the Innovation Incubator “Inno Center KDU” and the center of the initiative and activities of theEuropeanYouthCenter”Pro-Europa”, future plans were made to conduct trainings and seminars on current topics of interest of young people in the region
