Workshop on Startup Center TNTU

The “Start-up” means a call for action. That is why the seminar in the reading room of the University was held on Wednesday 08.04.2015 from 14:00 to 19:00 by the Startup center for intelligent, enterprising and motivated people who want to realize themselves.

The event was held in three stages:

I. Workshop from Mariya Ortynska “Intellectual Property Rights for startup.”

Mariya Ortynska -UkrainePatent Attorney, Director of Patent Law Firm IPStyle (Kyiv). Practical lawer since 2004.

During the workshop participants learned why intellectual property rights today is the basis for successful project tomorrow. The workshop participants learned the possible ways to protect the rights, and also:

-          how to protect copyright;

-          what is the brand and how to get it;

-          what are the benefits of protecting technical solutions using patent?

-          how to assess potential threats when entering foreign markets and how not to be accused of violating intellectual property rights.
II. Master class from Oksana Borysenko on “How to prepare documents for investors.”

Oksana Borysenko is a President of IT Association “Digital Ukraine” director “Enable Talk», director of the ukrainian office of «Acrobator», consultant BVI (Kyiv).

During the master class, students learned how to submit the idea for the investor and what documents they need to prepare.

Audience was highly interested in reports from Ortynska Mariya and Borisenko Oksana. Students asked many questions.

III. Startups Pitch session.
7 authors took part in the Startup Pitch session:

1.     «Developing ІТ in Ternopil» (3-nd course students in “Computer-integrated technologies” Valeriy Rotermel and Oleh Plavutskyi, TNTU).
2.   “Kestrel” (Oleh Nazarevych, post graduate student, TNTU).

3.    “Psychological help for children with post-traumatic stress disorder caused by war conflicts” (Olha Korbak, master course student in “Psychology”, and Julia Obuhovska, 3-year student in “Psychology”, TNTU).
4. “2 cups” (4-th course students in “Computer-integrated technologies” Vasul Popovuch, Roman Borsch, TNTU).
5.   “Eco-soap” (Emilia Riznuk, master course student in “Innovation management”, TNTU).

6. “Cloud service of the store-house “Volunteer” (Mykola Sorokolit, 1-year student in “Computer-integrated technologies”,TernopilNationalEconomicalUniversity).

7.    “Eco-sauce” (Halyshko Taras, graduate student, TNTU).
Participants had the opportunity to talk individually with specialists from Kyiv as for further cooperation.
