Meeting with students of Ternopil college

April 6, 2015. The dissamination event was held by the Startup Regional Centre of Ternopil National Technical University. Coaches ofstartupCenter(Olga Mosiy, Olena Sorokivska, Iruna Strutynska) visited the Galician Vyacheslav Chornovil Economy andTourismCollege(Ternopil) as the part of the “Days of professional development.”

Audience and active participants were third year college students in number of 35 people.

Coaches ofStartupCenteracquainted students with the aims and objectives of regionalStartupCenter, explained its features and capabilities in helping young people to develop their business ideas. They also told the students about the Startup projects implementing by theRegionalStartupCenterand informed them about the upcoming crash-tests.

Coaches offered to students, who have creative ideas, to apply toStartupCenter. They also handed out the contact information in the form of booklets and business cards to all participants.

Then trainers ofStartupCenterconducted training. The topic of training was “How to start your own business”. The training was conducted in the form of an interesting role-playing game.

In the form of a business game students studied:

• demonstrated innovative ideas and leadership;

• disclose the creative and entrepreneurial potential;

•do not be afraid and be prepared to take risks and assume responsibility.

Students were taught through the business game

- how to demonstrate innovative ideas and leadership;

- how to disclose creative and entrepreneurial potential;

- how not to be afraid and be prepared to take risks and take responsibility.

The game helped students to understand the need for changes in their lives, to go beyond the routine and to believe in yourself. The feature of this method was used metaphor. Metaphor was the fable “The Fox and the Grapes”.

The most active participants of the game were awarded by the calendars. We hope that cooperation between coaches and college students will be continued and will have a great future.
