November 25-29, 2013 at Kharkiv National University of Economics named after Simon Kuznets was held a meeting of the participants of the project “Creation of Inter-university Start-up centers for students’ innovations development & promotion” (SUCSID)

The meeting of the project’s participants was devoted to the development of the structure of courses that are necessary for the development of students’ entrepreneurial skills, methods to deliver such courses, and was held in the “teamwork” format involving professors-partners. The event was attended by representatives of Buckinghamshire New University (UK), University Montpellier 2 (France); Universities of Republics Belarus and Moldova, Universities of Ukraine: Kharkiv National University of Economics named after Simon Kuznets, Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy named after O.M. Beketov, Sumy State University.

The team of Kharkiv National University of Economics named after Simon Kuznets introduced to the participants of the meeting the project “WORKSHOP of business” that started on November 20, 2013 at the Regional inter-university Start-up Center «First capital» (Kharkiv, Lenin Avenue, 9a, Library complex, room. 501) . “WORKSHOP of business” is a series of events (trainings, workshops, expert consultations, crash tests) for anyone looking to gain entrepreneurial skills and implement own business ideas. The project runs from November 2013 to March 2014. Business projects that pass the final selection will be presented to potential investors. Project partners of “WORKSHOP of business” are:

Kharkiv regional NGO “Association of Private Employers”, Department of the Kharkiv city council on Family, Youth and Sports issues, Kharkiv regional fund of entrepreneurship support, business incubator Voomy, Club of young entrepreneurs “Tramplyn”, Kharkiv club of entrepreneurs.

November 28, 2013 Qimiao FAN – World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine – visited Kharkiv National University of Economics named after Simon Kuznets and participated in the roundtable alongside with representatives of the SUCSID team and delegation of World Bank – macroeconomist of the World Bank in Ukraine Anastasia Holovatch , Head of International Affairs of the World Bank in Ukraine Dmytro Derkach.
