SUCSID Consortium’s Members Meeting in Buckinghamshire New University, United Kingdom
On September 23–27, 2013 meeting of the SUCSID consortium’s members was held at Buckinghamshire New University (High Wycombe, United Kingdom).
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the key issues of Start-up Center’s creating and managing.
Objectives of the meeting were:
- Training of those involved in managing Regional Startup Centers.
- Evaluation of the outputs to date.
- Review the work-plan and agree on adjustments.
The meeting was attended by 13 persons who presented partner countries.
During the meeting financial issues and work-plan adjustments (proposed by BUCKS), Quality Assurance and Evaluation Plan (presented by KNUCEA team), conception of Kharkiv Startup Center (proposed by representatives of KhNUE) were discussed.
Besides, SUCSID consortium’s members took part in practical training (proposed by business-trainers Martyn Robertson and Gail Rowntree) of those involved in managing regional Startup Centers.
Participants attended Start-up Centre “Basepoint” (High Wycombe), Centre of Rapid Design and Manufacturing (High Wycombe), which is a company that is a spin-off of Buckinghamshire New University, Start-up Centre “Clare Charity Centre” (Souderton), which provides support to those who intend to set-up social entreprises, Hampton College, which is a part of Oxford University.
