SUCSID Consortium’s Members Meeting in Ternopil, Ukraine
On April 23 – 27, 2014 meeting of the TEMPUS SUCSID consortium’s members was held at Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University (Ternopil, Ukraine).
Programme of the meeting in Ternopil was very intensive and was aimed at holding dissemination activities, as well as activities for further development of SUCSID network.
A number of meetings with representatives of local authorities and local business were held:
meeting with local authorities in Ternopil City Council and joint workshop of Ternopil City Strategic Development Department and SUCSID consortium’s members,
meeting with representatives of Youth Employment Center in Ternopil,
meeting with local business leader on company “Mykulynetskyj Brovar”,
visit to the Ternopil Regional Employment Center, presentation of the Center and discussion of the existing mechanisms of state support for youth entrepreneurship,
workshop on success stories of innovation companies from Ternopil Business Incubator “ProfiCenter”, “MagneticOne”, “Vyshyvanka”,
visit to the Science park “Innovation-investment cluster of Ternopil region”, experience exchange of science parks in Ukraine and Belarus, and meeting with representatives of local businesses – companies “Integral” and “Elektromir.”
These dissemination and sustainability events contributed to the strengthening and further development of SUCSID network.
Another important event were the inter-project videoconference with representatives of Tempus project NEFESIE “National Education Framework for Enhancing IT Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship” and discussion of directions for future inter-project cooperation.
In addition, sufficient attention at the meeting was paid to improving skills of start-up teams mentoring:
newly created startup сentre TNTU as well as network of interuniversity regional startup centers in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova were presented to participants of the meeting,
academic staff of TNTU demonstrated the technology of interactive business simulation game for joint teams of project participants and students,
KhNUE representative presented experience of organizing startup team activity using SCRUM methodology,
Ternopil representative reported on the possibility of using new Ukrainian platform for сrowdfunding and crowdsourcing.
