Europe Day at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics

Project TEMPUS SUCSID and startup center «First Capital» were presented at Europe Day which was held at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics on June 11, 2015.

Europe Day at KhNUE started with the visit of Irina Stadniychuk, a documentalist of the European Union. She visited the EU Information Centre at KhNUE.

The Information Centre has a wide range of publications and information materials of EU official institutions as well as EU periodicals and magazines and other materials related to the activities of the European Union, social standards and education at the EU countries, EU – Ukraine cooperation and so on.

Visitors to the Information Centre can also get access to electronic databases, which contain the official documents adopted by the European Commission, the European Parliament and other official EU institutions.

In addition, the EU Information Centre regularly holds information events for students and professors on the most pressing issues of the European Union and its relations with Ukraine as well as presentations of EU educational programs for students and young scientists.

On the same day, the EU Delegation in Ukraine held an open air information and educational event “EURObus: let’s unite Ukraine”.

Within the event all participants are able to communicate to the EU diplomats, to take part in competitions and quizzes on knowledge of the facts about the EU, to paint the magnet symbols of different European countries, to take part in self-flashmob #EURObus, to visit the outdoor library and photo exhibition on European topics.

TEMPUS SUCSID project and start-up center «First Capital» were also presented during this event. EURObus’s visitors could get the information materials, brochures, leaflets and consultations about the start-up center activities and opportunities for beginning entrepreneurs, as well as the objectives and results of SUCSID project.

KhNUE representatives took an active part in all EURObus’s activities. Professors and students of the university have mastered the art of drawing on the water, helped make the puzzle of Europe, met new interesting people and had a fun time!
