Festival of science at Ternopil National Technical University

Within the IX Ukrainian festival of scienceTernopil National Technical University conducted a series of popular science lectures “Horizons of science” for students of the Ternopil regional branch of the Small Academy of Sciences ofUkraineand 1-st year students of TNTU (approximately 60 students).

The event was held on May 14, 2015 at 15 p.m. in the reading room of scientific and technical library (Ruska St., 56, room. 58).

It was several lectures presented for students on the following topics:

1. Startup centers as a tool for the implementation of youth innovative ideas.

2. Tools of the modern technical science: an electron microscope.

3. Investigation of near-space: current situation and prospects.

4. Demonstration of geometric phenomena and wave optics.

Trainer of the Startup Center of TNTU Olga Vladimir familiarized young people with the aim of establishing and functioning, and the main objectives of theStartupCenter. She told about the history of theStartupCenter, the main activities, and emphasized the knowledge and abilities that students can receive while studying. She justified the importance of personal business skills in today’s highly competitive environment.
